living in a shack
One of our main priorities for this year has been to build a destitute Mother and her four children a home. For 15 years the family had been living in a dilapidated shack with a leaking roof and a piece of fabric for a wall.
The target of £1,700 was reached and despite a delayed start the work began at the end of October. Once completed the home will consist of a kitchen, bedroom, sitting room, toilet and a shower.
Work is currently progressing well with the kitchen almost finished.

(Jan 2012) The family's new home is almost complete, with real walls and doors ect it's just the cosmetic work which needs finishing.
